17+ Best Target Sale Days 2022: The best deals we’ve found

There is no room like Target. While online shopping doesn’t create the same frenzy as getting lost in Bullseye’s Playground, the Target Deal Days sale still offers an exciting excuse to browse the virtual aisles. (As if any of us ever needed another excuse to make a quick run to Target.)

The sale runs through July 13, and while it may be a direct competitor to Amazon Prime Day, the vast majority of these deals don’t require a membership to purchase. Some of the deals are only available to Target Circle members, but the program is free to join—and it pays to join if you shop at Target even semi-regularly.

The WIRED Gear team tests products throughout the year and hand-sorts through hundreds of thousands of offers to make these picks. Crossed out products are out of stock or no longer discounted. Our Amazon Prime Day coverage page has the latest stories, and our Prime Day Shopping Tips will help you avoid bad deals. You can also get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off) here.

Updated July 12, 2022: We’ve updated prices and links throughout, and added a few Nest products, Google Pixel phones, and the Pixel Buds A-series.

If you make a purchase using the links in our stories, we may earn a commission. This helps support our journalism. Learn more.

Offers for games and entertainment

You can be on a quick call, watching Will Byers cry over his crush, or listening to Selena sing Bidi Bidi Bom Bom — it doesn’t matter if you have the Google Pixel Buds A-series. These are our favorite headphones for most people with their ergonomic design, balanced sound and IPX4 water resistance.

Gloomhaven is one of the most popular — and most expensive — board games. Lion’s jaws it can be played as a standalone game or as an expansion to the original. It is suitable for two or more players aged 14 and over.

There are tons of Lego sets on sale, ranging from $10 Classic Brick sets to Minecraft– thematic models. The inclusive Duplo and Friends lines are also featured in this sale. The quality of the deal depends on which set you’re looking at, but the discounts are generally good, especially for parents looking to keep their kids entertained this summer.

Target circle members only

This workbook is a great option for future Kindergarteners, and the clip coupon drops it to just $3 for Target Circle members. Choose free in-store pickup where applicable to skip shipping charges. Be sure to check out these school supply deals for extra student savings.

This sale has nearly 50,000 titles to choose from, including children’s classics and adult thrillers. The discount will be automatically reflected at checkout.

Offers for the household and outdoors

Hoover PowerDash.

This isn’t an uncommon sale on our budget carpet cleaner, so there’s no need to rush to add it to your cart. But if you’re already in the market, we think you’ll love this one for small stains (if you have a big old house that needs some serious deep cleaning, maybe look for something bigger). It is light and easy to maneuver, and the trigger for dosing the solution is located on the handle. There are also separate tanks for clean and dirty water that can be removed for rinsing. This price has been matched on Amazon.

The larger Hoover SmartWash we like is also discounted from Target, though it’s cheaper on Amazon right now.

Tons of clothes and shoes are on sale. The selection includes options for men, women and children. It’s not just limited to shirts and pants – you can get deals on shoes and swimwear too. Prices are shown on the product page.

KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus.

While it’s not hard to find deals on mixers while shopping, this model comes in some unique and beautiful colors. KitchenAid mixers are popular for good reason. They are excellent for baking as well as for cooking in general. While this discount is good, if you’re determined to get the lowest price possible (perhaps $200-$250), it’s best to wait until Black Friday to buy them.

Nothing screams “college” like one of these bad boys. Pillows like this are never genuine comfortable, but they’re handy for homework, bedtime reading, and movie nights. This one has a fluffy coating for extra softness.

These types of clothing storage racks have become popular online over the past few years. They are great for small apartments or bedrooms, especially if you have limited storage space. This rack has shelves on the side to hold shoes or storage bins – a feature that is hard to find in other similarly priced versions. Get Gen-Z cool points as an added bonus.

Offers for health and beauty

Theragun Elite

There are plenty of cheaper massage guns you can buy (and we love a bunch of them), but the Pro is the best of Theragun’s line. Theragunis (Therabody products) are like the Kleenex of the percussion world. It’s the brand’s quietest device and comes with five attachment heads to soften different muscles.

The Mini is also on sale for $160 ($40 off), if you really want the Theragun but want to spend as little as possible. However, there are better options than the Mini. The triangular design of the other Theraguns makes them much more ergonomic. The Theragun Prime, which we didn’t test, costs $250 ($50 off).

We think most people would be fine with the Theragun Elite, including athletes, but this Pro is a beast in the line, putting out 60 pounds of force, while the Elite uses 40 pounds. It also has a rotating arm so it’s even easier for attachments to hit the right spot. If you have the money to spend, you’ll love it, but $500 is a big sale price.

You can still enjoy some of Therabody technology without spending hundreds. This Wave Roller combines traditional foam rolling with massage vibrations. It won’t get into knots as effectively, but you can pair it with a cheaper massage gun if you need it.

Offers for smart homes

Nest Audio

Google Nest Audio has surprisingly great sound quality for a smart speaker. We like to connect them together for even better sound quality, and this sale makes it easy to justify that. The Nest Mini Smart Speaker is also on sale for $30 ($20 off), so you can get something with a smaller profile or just add to your Nest ecosystem.

A smart screen is incredibly versatile, serving as a video player, a way to communicate with others, or a glorified digital frame if that’s your thing. The Nest Hub Max does all of those things really well, and while they’re often on sale, we recommend you only get it when it’s on sale. If video chatting isn’t your thing, the Nest Hub (2nd Gen) Smart Display is on sale for $55 ($45 off) — that’s $111 less than the Max for a smart display that’s still great!

Google households looking to up their security game, look no further: Nest Cam is your best bet. It works with Google Assistant, has 1080p with HDR and night vision, and even has a good, clear speaker and microphone. For a wired, indoor option, the Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is $79 ($21 off).

With the dog days of summer come dreary, sometimes sweltering temperatures. The Nest Thermostat can help keep your home cooler (and save you a little money in the process) by learning your preferences and adjusting accordingly. In addition, with smart temperature settings, you will help save the planet little by little with reduced energy consumption.

Nest Doorbell

Ding dong, The Nest (doorbell) is great! No, really. This would probably be our best video doorbell camera if it weren’t so expensive, so this is a great opportunity to get something a little better for a lot less. This is the lowest price ever, which is a third lower than usual.

Not all TVs are smart, but luckily they don’t need brains like the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. You can simply plug Chromecast into Google TV and voila! You’ll get all the benefits of a smart TV (Youtube, Netflix and other apps) at your fingertips with the included remote.

Smartphone deals

Google Pixel 6 Pro

Photo: Google

The Google Pixel 6 Pro received a rare WIRED score of 9/10 – which is a pretty big deal here. We absolutely loved the camera quality, with the Real Tone feature capturing different skin tones incredibly well. It also has a long-lasting battery, a smooth OLED screen and an incredibly fast refresh rate. If you don’t need all the features of the Pro, you can opt for the Google Pixel 6 Android smartphone (256GB), which is on sale for $599 ($100 off).

Deals on everything else

Target circle members only

This is an extremely easy way to make your purchases even cheaper. Let’s say you have $100 worth of Deal Days merchandise in your cart. Buy a gift card for that amount using this coupon and you’ll save an additional 5 percent on everything you planned to buy. The card can be delivered via email or text, so as long as your desired items don’t sell out immediately, this deal is well worth the effort.

Spend at least $50 on food and beverage and choose free pickup or same-day delivery to receive a free $10 gift card. There are a few exceptions to this deal, but it’s an easy way to save some money if you’re planning on restocking anyway.

If you’re a Target Circle member, it’s worth checking to see if your account is eligible for this offer, which gives you 10 percent off your purchase. Offer expires on July 13. There is a list of exceptions, and not all accounts qualify. Your mileage may vary.
