Good news! President Biden’s COVID-19 test this week came back negative after being positive the previous week.
Biden, who has been isolated for the past five days, does not have a fever, and his symptoms are “steadily improving,” according to his physician, Kevin O’Connor, DO. The president’s isolation will end when he resumes his normal duties.
The 79-year-old President Barack Obama has received two booster shots and is fully vaccinated. He has been taking the anti-viral drug Paxlovid to recover from the illness.
As a result of rare “rebound” cases of COVID-19 from those who have taken Paxlovid, the commander-in-chief will test frequently and wear a mask around other people for the next 10 days.
“The President is taking great care to protect the Executive Residence, White House, Secret Service, and those far from him (yet potentially at risk) noted the Secret Service Director in a letter to the press secretary.”
