Under the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, a conference was held to promote entrepreneurship at SD Senior Secondary School, Jagadhri.
The keynote speaker for the program was Dr. MK Sehgal, Educationist and President, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
School Principal Satish Garg and District Convener Pradeep Chaudhary welcomed the participants. Dr Sehgal, who is the district coordinator of the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, said that the youth should inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship.
“After graduation or post-graduation, every young person thinks about a job, be it government or private, but the jobs are limited. So get more out of real learning. Therefore, from the student age, instead of looking for work, they must be inspired to become job providers,” said Dr. Sehgal.
Davinder Sharma, District Program Officer, Haryana State Livelihood Mission, and Raj Kumari briefed on government schemes and development of small and cottage industries in villages.
