When it’s working, you’ll hear a recording sound and see a preview of the screenshot in the bottom left of the screen, where you can tap it to edit or share it.
Some Android phone manufacturers offer a screen scrolling feature that can capture an entire web page or message thread. They all have different names, but each involves taking a screenshot and then tapping a button when the preview appears. For example, on a Samsung phone, you need to press the button with two arrows in the box to use Scroll Capture. Huawei has a similar option called ScrollshotLG offers an Expanded option, and OnePlus has Extended screenshot.
If your phone lacks this feature, consider a third-party app like Screen Master.
How to take a screenshot on a Windows computer
To take a screenshot on a Windows laptop or desktop computer, press Print Screen keyboard key (usually abbreviated to Prt Scn or similar). If you just want to take a screenshot of the active window, press Alt and Print Screen keys together. Your captured screenshot is automatically copied to the clipboard, and you need to open Microsoft Paint, Photoshop, or whatever image software you’re using to paste it in order to edit and save it.
If you just want to capture a portion of your screen in Windows 10, try pressing Windows, Shiftand S keys together. You can then click and drag to highlight the bit you want and let it record. In older versions of Windows, you can do the same thing with Snipping Toolwhich is found by clicking Start and type “crop tool” in the search bar. Once again, the screenshot is copied to your clipboard for you to paste.
To take screenshots and save them automatically, press Windows and Print Screen keys together. Screenshots are saved in a folder under the title Screenshots in your Pictures folder.
How to take a screenshot on a Chromebook
To take a screenshot on your Chromebook, press Control (usually abbreviated to Ctrl) and Show Windows (rectangle with two lines on the right) keys together.
To capture a portion of the screen, press Shift, Controland Show Windows keys, click and drag to highlight the bit you want, then let go to grab a screenshot.
