YLAI’s purpose is to empower emerging entrepreneurs from the Western Hemisphere to help improve their economic potential alongside their communities and countries. Launched by the White House in 2015, the YLAI Fellowship Program has awarded over 1,000 fellowships and counting. YLAI Fellows have shared American business models, increased trade, fostered job creation, and built networks of young entrepreneurs and business and community leaders of over 50,000 members in 37 countries worldwide. Vaca helped launch the first class of YLAI Fellows in 2016 as the White House Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. This year she returned to keynote the YLAI Final Forum again, but this time in a role Dallas’s the inaugural Entrepreneur in Residence.

After the YLAI final forum, fellows will take back to their home countries everything they learned during the program, including their Entrepreneurial Leadership Action Plan (E-LAP) and the hands-on leadership training they received. These learnings combined with their newly expanded networks covering the Western Hemisphere will empower them to turn their visions into reality.
